How we started
Velocity Vehicle began in the heart of Massachusetts, a community-driven initiative sparked by a group of concerned neighbors in Worcester. They recognized a troubling gap: many eligible families for essential programs like SNAP and MassHealth were not enrolled, leaving them without vital support. To tackle this, they sought a way to generate funding that would directly benefit local residents while simultaneously addressing the enrollment issue.
By connecting vehicle donations to this mission, they found a sustainable model that allowed for the free provision of benefits-research services. Each donated vehicle became a means to empower fellow residents, transforming unused cars into critical resources for community members navigating the sometimes confusing world of local assistance programs. From this simple yet powerful idea, Velocity Vehicle was born.

Why this city
Massachusetts is home to diverse communities, from the bustling neighborhoods of Boston to the quiet corners of the Berkshires. Unfortunately, many areas, especially in low-income neighborhoods like Roxbury and Chelsea, face significant benefits-enrollment gaps. Families eligible for programs like WIC and LIHEAP often struggle to access the assistance they need. By focusing our efforts statewide, we can bridge these gaps, ensuring that every resident has the opportunity to benefit from critical services that enhance their lives.
If you're ready to make a difference in your community, consider donating your vehicle to Velocity Vehicle. Through your generosity, we can continue to connect Massachusetts residents with the benefits and resources they deserve.
